The Compassion in practice programme focuses on six main areas of action:
- helping people to stay independent, maximise well-being and improve outcomes
- working with people to provide a positive experience of care
- delivering high-quality care and measuring the impact
- building and strengthening leadership
- ensuring we have the right staff with the right skills in the right place
- supporting positive staff experiences
Course Content:
Session one considers the benefits of delivering compassionate care and identifies the core attributes and skills needed to deliver this.
Session two examines the barriers to compassionate care, the importance of compassion-focused organisation and strategies for identifying and minimising these barriers
