The Adolescent Health programme provides continuing professional development (CPD) for all health professionals who work with people in this age group. In particular, it equips practitioners with the skills to help young people lead healthier and more active lives.

The programme has been developed by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in partnership with a number of other Royal Colleges and Health Education England.

The programme can be used individually or in conjunction with the other programmes in the Healthy Child Programme 0-18, namely the Healthy Child Programme (0 to 5 years) and the Healthy Child School Programme (5 to 12 years).

Description

Helping Young People to Lead Healthier and More Active Lives

This online course on Adolescent Health includes youth communication skills, sexual health, obesity and confidentiality. Interactive features, such as case studies and video clips, help learners to understand the views of young people and professionals on key issues.

Course Content

The Adolescent Health programme includes 13 modules that are divided up into 70 e-learning sessions. These sessions are split into four different levels to suit the needs of a variety of health professionals.
